Dinner with Award-Winning Fabulist Harlan Ellison to be Available On E-bay to Benefit the Quest For His Friend Walter Koenig's Star

A dinner with Harlan Ellison, the legendary Curmudgeon of Science Fiction, his beautiful wife, Susan, and possibly a celebrity mystery guest (or two), is being auctioned off on eBay, to benefit the movement to get Walter Koenig (Star Trek, Babylon 5), Ellison's pal of more than 40 years, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The highest bidder (and one guest) will be treated to dinner in the Los Angeles Area by Harlan Ellison and his wife. The dinner will consist of outrageously delicious cuisine -- possibly Indian, Brazilian Churrascaria, or Mongolian BBQ, or the best 4-star Thai -- witty conversation, the sacrifice of virgins, the laying on of hands, the curing of monkey pox, and possibly a surprise celebrity guest (or two).

"It's going to be a glorious evening of badinage and raconteurage. I wanted to give something back to Walter. He's such a warm and wonderful guy," Harlan says. "I'm just insanely happy that I can spend an evening feeding total strangers, doing my small part to help Walter get his star. He was fabulous in his role as Willy Loman in 'The Mexican Wrestling Mummy vs. The House UnAmerican Activities Committee.'"

The winner of the auction will have the option of setting a date that will be convenient for both themselves and the Ellisons.

The Quest for Walter's Star started August 29th 2004 with Sky Conway of Planet Xpo, Dan Marsden of The Official Star Trek Fan Club, and Nathan E. Lilly of GreenTentacles.

Already there's been tremendous fan support from all over the world, from both the fans and professionals who know and love Walter.

Michael David Ward has donated several of his artworks to help the cause and, earlier this year, Michael David Ward, Marc B. Lee, and Lightspeed Fine Arts pitched in and auctioned off an original painting by Michael David Ward that raised just over $ 4,000.00 USD.

Interest is expected to be high as the auction kicks off on Thursday, June 9th, 2005, 2:00 PM PDT, and will run for 10 days, ending on Sunday, June 19th, 2005, 2:00 PM PDT.
